PROVIDENCE–AProvidencecouplehaspledguiltytochargestheyconcealed$70,inassetsfromafederalbankruptcycourtwhenfilingajointvoluntarybankruptcypetition.

AccordingtocourtdocumentsandinformationpresentedtotheCourt,DanysRivera,49,andhiswife,DianaAcevedo,53,jointlyfiledaChapter13voluntarybankruptcypetitionintheDistrictofRhodeIslandBankruptcyCourtonMarch22,.ThefilingwasmadesevenweeksafterRiverawasawardedalumpsumprivateinsurancesettlementpaymentof$70,.

根据提交给法院的文件和信息，49岁的里维拉和53岁的妻子亚塞维多于年3月22日在罗德岛州破产法院共同提交了依据第13章的自愿破产申请。里维拉是在获得70美元的一次性私人保险结算付款七周后，提交了该破产申请。

AninvestigationdeterminedthatonFebruary11,,tendaysafterreceivingtheinsurancesettlement,Riveraopenedabankaccountanddepositeda$61,.43checkfromthesettlement.Twoweekslaterhewithdrew$59,.29intheformofabankcheckmadepayabletohimselfandtransferred$fromtheaccounttoanotherbankaccounthecontrolled.
